Well, I no sooner smelled the rain, in that last post of mine, when the bottom dropped out of the bucket and I caught a flash of lighting off to the west. Got the computer turned off and everything unplugged in time before the storm hit at 2:34 a.m..
Temperature is 45 degrees right now, so the windows are closed and the heat is back on. According to the rain gauge, we've had an inch of rain in almost 24 hours. This is a good thing, for me at least, as my rain barrels were almost empty. If the rain ever takes a break today, I'll fill up some of my 2 liter soda bottle stash.
Our guest cat showed up just in time for the storms to show up so I spent about 20 minutes outside with him between storms.
Had planned to get more seeds started today but don't feel like walking up to the shed in the rain so I'm reading through book 1 of the Foxfire series. I'd forgotten just what a fun read they are!
Feeling pretty good after the rock attack yesterday! My left knee was really stiff when I first got up but it's not too bad now unless I knock it into something...which is par the course. I think I've even hit it on a few things that aren't even there!
Deb,
We know all to well what you mean about bikes and wind. When we got our scoot, we made a big run one day just because it was too pretty of a day not too. All was well until we hit the highway to head home and it wasn't sheltered by hills or trees. There were moments when some of the gusts felt like they were trying to pull me off of the bike...no fun at all!
Got a fresh pot of coffee on if anyone cares to join me!
