I WANT eggs!!! I set up my turkeys today since I am planning on her laying at the end of next month like she usually does. I also have been keeping an eye on my sebastapools. I absolutely can't wait for some frizzy geese babies! I have been making a list of stuff to hatch and it hasn't left much left for eating. I plan on possibly culling some/most of my old hens and replacing them this year. Maybe.

Hurray on finding a tv show that helped him get the message!!! Are you thinking of raising a pig or getting a 1/2 and having it processed?

For now, we'd mainly be getting pork bellies to make our own bacon. Plus, at times we can get pork loin for cheap. We already buy that instead of chops and/or pork roasts. We'll continue to get them, and use that to make sausage. Eventually, we get to where we can either raise our own, or buy part of one from a farmer. I'd love to learn how to smoke our own hams. I love ham, bacon and ribs.
