FF,

I think I like mine better!
Abi, I did see one costume when I was looking for the pic. Made me wonder if they had them in adult sizes.
FJ, I'll have to try that and see if it works.
OK, today was a mix of good and bad. So, I'm posting the bad first, then the good. Hopefully, there was more good.
THE BAD
I had to go to work today. It should have been an easy day. I had to clean the stalls, pick up a tractor from across the street where it was getting fixed, and mow 1 field. I had about 1/2 hour left on the field, then I was done. I heard this horrendous noise, sounded like it was coming from the mower. I took the tractor back across the street. It wasn't the mower, it was the tractor! A bearing in the PTO box went. So, we had to bring the other tractor over, take the mower off the one, and put it on the other. Then, I had to finish mowing w/the other tractor. And, that tractor is a PITB! It will not keep running. And, they can't figure out why. It shut off at least 5, 6 times in the short time I was mowing.
Because of a few other things going on, I didn't have time to start working on cleaning up the weeds until about 3:40. So, I didn't get finished.
KN processed a chicken today. She borrowed my cone, my camp stove; a large pot, a pair of pliers and a chair. The cone is still where she did the deed. The pot is full of water and still where she dunked it to pluck him. I don't think she put the chair back. I put the pliers away so I could put my tool box away, and I put my stove away because I didn't want to leave it out.
THE GOOD
I got to ride Misty today! And, even though my knees still hurt, and my foot hurts a bit where I got stung, I was able to ride w/out too much pain! This is the first time I've ridden her in a couple of weeks. I'm trying to find time to ride her more.
The hay guy finally called me back and had me come over and look at the hay. It's beautiful hay! And, there's about 100 bales for $2.00/bale! Affording it will be a bit tight, but I can't pass it up. I've seen hay like this go for over $5.00/bale in the middle of winter at the hay auction.
The last weed I tried to get out today was a huge poke. And, it was right next to a fence post. I could not dig it out. I decided to try hooking it to the mower and seeing if I could pull it out. Normally, the mower won't start if it's been sitting for a bit. Not only did it start right up, but I was able to pull it out!
I only have 7 more weeks left to work!
KN decided she wanted to go out for dinner, but didn't want to go out by herself. So, she bought me dinner!
So, that's today. I'm tired, so I'm going to sleep. One of these days, I hope to get all caught up on everyone's journals again. Right now, I'm not taking much time on here. But once I get caught up on everything I need to get done, I'll have more time to read everything here.
