I can tell you don't follow my journal.
No actually I read it quite often. I think I just missed that day.
Guess I'll let you slide then.
Well, I did it! I had planned on waiting until I was done working, but instead, because of other things, I let her know this morning. And, she didn't seem that upset. She understands. I feel like I've lost a load off of my shoulders.
I got done work early, so I got done at the farm early, so I left early. I decided to run over to the nature center. I'm helping w/a kids' canoeing outing on Thursday, and I no longer had the number so I could call to find out what time I needed to be there. Plus, I wanted to check out a tree we had found earlier in the year. I didn't know what kind it was, just some type of fruit tree. Well, the naturalist wasn't there, but I was able to get the number, so I called and left a message. Then I walked out to where the tree was. It's a pear tree! The park used to be all houses, then was taken over many years ago, I don't recall now how it became a park. So, I'm guessing this was in someone's backyard.
The nature center is in the town I grew up in. And, I had been down one street that was at the edge of town to do a pony ride. There was a "park" on this road when I was a kid. It wasn't much of a park. But, I could see they had done some work to it, so I decided to go down that road and check it out. Big difference! I continued down this road, then made a turn onto another road which I knew would take me to the road I needed to get home. I hadn't gone down the road far when I remembered that this is the road the naturalist, JT, lives on, and that was her house I was going by. So, I stopped in. And, she really wishes I had the time free this week to help her. I told her that I quit, and that next summer I'm planning to apply for a job at the nature center. I think she's happy about that.
Now, I'm home, and it's pouring. Hopefully, that will cool things down a bit.
