Thanks, SSD, but my birthday isn't until tomorrow.

Well, I got a GREAT present today. I decided that w/or w/out help I was getting the fence done. I don't know how much rain we're actually going to get, but the field is dry now. And, I don't know that it will be next week. And since it's supposed to rain, it will be a good time to get some grass seed down. So, that means I don't want to drive the tractor on it after I get the seed down. So, once I was done cleaning the field, I cleaned Honey's stall the best I could, closed a gate to keep CL's horses away, then went and got the tractor. I put out a RB for the horses hoping they'd stay outta my way. Then, I got busy. I took down all of the old fence. That took longer than I was expecting. Then, I pulled the posts out-they needed to be moved. I tried to take the gate off, but couldn't get the bolt undone. I ended up getting a hacksaw and cutting it. Then I was able to get the gate off.

By this time it was later than I was expecting. But, I had to get done. CL's horses had no access to water or shelter. So, I kept going. DH called. And, when he found out what I was doing, he came over and helped! W/the exception of a very small section, the fence is done! As far as I'm concerned, he doesn't need to give me any gift! That was the BEST present he could have given me.

Those are the best kind of presents!!!

We were going to go back to Hot Springs for my b-day (next month) since doc will be on his week off. When he asked me about it, I told him that I'd rather finish working on getting my truck running. There's too many things we can't haul in the go-cart, I mean Buick, and it's put a serious hurt on expanding garden space (via pallet raised beds) for me this season.

Not really. I had been going to work on the fence then as well as on the chicken area, but w/the rain, no can do. :/

They've now changed the forecast again and it's only supposed to be cloudy today w/no rain for the week. Wish I could have a job where I got paid good money for being wrong! Maybe we can get the coop built this afternoon and take it out tomorrow or later today. We'll see.
