Pro Tip. If you apply the skunk smell and then get it wet, it will never come out. Newbie mistake in washing skunk smell out of dog coat is wetting the dog down first before the shampoo - surefire way to make sure the smell will never-ever come out.

@tortoise Thanks for the advice on skunk smell. I am hoping to never have to use it, but I live in the country and I have farm dogs...
