Dreaming...

Things are still as confused as a bowl of soup this side. The tenants are frantically trying to secure a home loan, so they can buy this house they are after. They have until the 15th to do that. In the meantime the agent found them another rental, so if the loan doesn't happen, they have a plan B. Thankfully, because without a loan, the first house is out.

I told her (the agent) yesterday I owe her BIG!

So we are waiting now for the 15th to hear what they are doing and when they are doing it, so we can move… We're aiming for Ireland roughly 2-3 weeks after that first "getting MIL moved and settled" move. Soon, soon :)
 
So exciting! Can't help wondering why the tenants are having trouble securing this new loan- they had tons of time to work on getting one earlier- this is just for a different address, lol
 
@Britesea the truth is they never had a loan… they couldn't get one. The agent uncovered all their lies over the last month and they were numerous. There is some problem with debt that they are trying to solve now, so they can try one more time to secure a loan and buy this house they found, otherwise they'll have to take the rental she found for them. We're hoping they will leave mid-month and get out of our hair so we can get on with our lives finally. I'm annoyed, because everything with our sale is done and completed, they are holding everything up at the moment. And then the lawyer had to go make a mistake on their eviction notice and give them an extra 2 weeks' wiggle room…

Too bad you can't throw their lying selves out in the street and all their belongings too. Grrr ..... hate liars.

The tenants finally came forth with some more information, though nothing confirmed it sounds like they are planning to move soon. Mentioned yesterday that they are organising storage for their extra stuff, have started packing some things already, etc.

DH is trying to find somewhere for us to move to with MIL, in the interim before we go to Ireland. Which will be roughly 2-3 weeks after the tenants moved. Depending on flight availability. It's getting SOON now!
 
Oh my, I haven't updated and so much happened! We found a place to go stay at for the interim period. A lovely yoga retreat that belongs to an acquaintance of DH. The place is breathtaking and the owner is awesome, I'm going to see if I can talk him into signing up here so you all can meet him and chat DIY building with him.

Our tenants are busy moving and we are going to do the same starting Saturday, so the week so far have been a bit crazy, with trying to get rid of as much stuff as possible, organising storage for the furniture (we're renting a furnished cottage), etc.

As soon as we're settled and in over there, we are going to book our flights for Ireland, aiming for the end of this month. I checked online yesterday and there are still flights available :fl
