so the snow is tapering off, but the wind is really howling. I'm looking out the back windows, wondering about the coop roof.

Then *BLAM* from the front of the house. The storm door latch was blown loose, the door flew open, and destroyed the external light fixture. Door frame bent to heck, but the storm door glass window did not break, but the framing around it is warped to match the now bent door frame.

Guess who has a new 2.5' x 5' (or thereabouts) glass lid for a new cold frame I can build in the garden!!!!

Uh, no. Have to replace the door/frame and the external light, if we can match the one on the other side of the door. $$$$$ gone in the wind.

I saw that thread. My wife also went ballistic when we saw that commercial the first time on TV, comments on how low she thinks we've sunk as a culture.
