Great time tonight! Polite kids, merriment and laughter. Only have a little bit of candy left. I needed this today

I miss the trick or treaters coming to our door. We lived in town and if you participated in Halloween, you turned your porch light on. Most parents drove their kids around. Even in town, there weren't a lot of houses with the porch light on. Now, out here, 9 miles from town and a gate across our driveway, no trick or treat kids.

Realized this morning that today is the 5 year anniversary of my mom passing. So many, many changes this past half decade.

Just matter of fact, no real emotion. Missing her right now, but she would have been chafing under lockdown restrictions. Lol
