WE ALL have that same panic! Thus VALDAMORT.

I start the panic about two weeks into break and it gets progressively worse. I find I can talk about Valdamort with less pain. :P
Don't you mean VOLDERMORT? :P

I tend to make my kids do an hour or two of schooling daily, all year round, except November to January 1. I need the first 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and until after Christmas to get through the holidays.

July is a real slack month for us, too, but the kids are still learning, without realizing they are learning, by helping with the farm stuff.

In the movie Food Inc they show Bee's boyfriend (stalking victim?) Joel Salatin and his crew...
Okay......who is the culprit? :rant :tongue :duc

Whoever it was......it was hilarious! :lau

Farm, great story and pics of the fox.....how pitiful to see a creature in that state. Now we know why it was depending on your easy pickin's turkeys...it was probably too weak to hunt wild game. How very sad..... :(

You turkeys are lovely! I'm thinking about doing a few turkeys along with the chickens in the spring but haven't made up my mind about it.

I agree with you about the kids and school. It seems to me they do more school, more paperwork, but less homework and they learn a lot less...if that is possible. I just know that I was on a much higher level of ability than my kids at the same age, but my kids are starting out with the same brain matter. Seems like a lot of up and down motion but no real forward progress? :hu

Uh huh. I'm surprised I even thought to check with the way my brain is functioning in this weather! :/
