He should have been happy to have the business. Little enough of that to go around lately!
 
Picturing the happy rooster gave me a giggle this morning, good luck with the eggs.

Hubby and I will have been married 30 years this December, we were married the same year you and your hubby were.

Good job standing your ground with that guy. He seems to have realized he made a mistake. But just a tad to late.

Ha ha! so much like us. But more of our story, when we got married, Hubby was only 18 and I was 22 and yup, I was pregnant. All our friends could not believe I was getting married, keeping the baby and predicted doom and gloom for marrying a man only 18 years old, I was actually DRIVEN to an abortion clinic by friends and I panicked and ran out, decided to marry the dad.

He has been the most faithful and honorable a husband a woman could have and WE are the only people we know still married, with a very rare handful of exceptions, most of whom were married long after us. We did wait 10 years before child number two....

And the baby everyone told me to abort is the joy of my life. I'm so glad I listened to my heart, my lovely daughter is now almost 29 and I thank God every day I did not listen to all my "friends" who told me having her would "ruin my life" etc., etc., etc. I don't even know them any longer, but she is my favorite child of the three. Course I don't tell them that, but she is.
