I butchered ours. I'm not much of a butcher, I could use more practice. The meat was good and is a faint memory now. I really liked hocks -n beans and the chops were good also, ribs so so. That's about all I remember from my sawsall and pocket knife butchering session.

But with no hog butchering experience, you did it and that’s all that matters.

the pigs seem pretty smart. before the cold front we broke up a bail of staw in the pen. they dragged most of it to the covered aread and made a nest.
