AWWWHH..more piggies! They are cute, the AGH moms are great and happy to share with ya!

So, soon we will know how many more you have....
How's goat breeding going? I had another in with buck yesterday for a while and she was bred. That's 3 now. So it will be Mar, Apr, May kids in 2018. I like the better weather for kidding but, it was NICE to have all of them within 6 weeks this year! Mid Jan thru late Feb and done. My blessing was that it was a mild winter and the actual days they chose were the better ones. Thank you girls! Plus, they sold easily as June had several religious events where the ethnics wanted goat. Will miss that this yr. I do plan to add another buck next yr and will most likely do MUCH earlier breeding than now. So goes life

We do what we can. I hope to do better with gardening in 2018...if I can find the time. LOL
I'm pretty well resigned to the fact that this can't continue here.
It's the 24/7 monitoring that's overwhelming & a blessing at the facilities. You will feel relief, even though they do lose the personal touch of "home". Really, after settling in, they don't much remember what that "home" was like. At least, that's what I found it to be. There's an adjustment time. There were 2 couples on moms wing...nice for them to be able to stay together. Dementia everywhere...

but, good care with dining rooms, showers, laundry, etc. Even a hair salon was there if you wanted to have that done. Plus regular activities, church services, movies, lovely outside set-up. Hey, think positive.
