Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Do kikos breed year round ?
Yep - they're supposed to! He has really become aggressive lately with the little buck he's penned with. I may have to move him into the big bucks pen earlier than I expected. At that point he'll become the target, lol! Maybe he'll develop a little empathy then.....nah - he's a goat, lol!

I tell him to chill out, she knows where the grain is!

Soooo true!!! :D

Conan...and buck habits. It's why I hate to pasture them together. It is so NOT NICE. Why can't they just fight, bite & kick, like horses???? :( I can't see that it's painful but, isn't what I like to have happening. Not as bad if there are no does around....or have been in the same field prior. Darned goats!

My big bucks don't pester each other very much. They have their pecking order worked out nd they are amazingly well behaved towards each other. Even during the rut they rarely mount each other. But, these young 'uns! Geeze, they're constant horndogs, lol!

Creepy boys... I'm curious how Conan will fare with the big guys, hope it'll calm him down! Lol how big is he now?

I have only kept one ram at a time, so I haven't had to deal with multiple sets of raging male hormones! But I do have two boar feeder pigs, they mount each other and start humping. The pig on the bottom takes insult and they quarrel.

I picked veggies today!! Granted it's just a baby harvest- but still exciting!
