Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Oh cool, I might try water kefir. Or chaga kefir? Maybe it would be chaga kombucha because it's tea. I dunno, either way flu season is starting so my chaga is starting lol

Glad you have lots of fat goats! Love to see that!

How big is the piggie? Sounds like good practice!
Don't know how I missed this... but I did.

The pig I want to practice on probably isn't even 40 lbs...if that. I'm terrible at estimating weights. But, they are short and stout and usually weigh more than I think they will.

Oh that'll be good practice! And a couple meals, or you can just throw the whole thing in the oven and have a mini pig roast? Any idea why he's not growing well?

Huh, well it happens. Did you say some of your pigs were registered at one point?

My original sow was and her babies were eligible - but I passed. I wish now that I had gone ahead with the papers...

AND - because the Kinder buck was a butt-head and didn't want me to catch him and put him with ALLLLLL the does... Conan was glad to step in for him. I'll just let Conan have all the girls (except the little ones that Chester gets) and use Dusty and Kinder on his daughters. That's what happens when you give me a hard time, lol!

Does she have an ear tag or notched ears? I'm only curious because I could see if they're distantly related to mine, lol. Or if you know the person you got them from, I can look 'em up.

Ooh go Conan! Lol!

No tags or notches. They might not even have been telling me the truth. I only know the city (Bay City) that I got them from. I think the gal that owned 'em was Sandy or Cindy. Don't know the last name. Shame I didn't really pay attention. I figured I was only getting 'em to eat so didn't need any papers.

No one in the public directory from that city. That doesn't mean much, I'm not in the public directory either!

I'm not surprised. They hadn't had them very long when they decided to go with bigger hogs so there may never have been a transfer completed. Oh well - no loss since I wasn't really looking for registered at the time. They still taste good!
