Getting acclimated to country

There's a good pic of the oldest BO/ RIR baby chick, Munchkin.

Last night when I locked the chickens in for the night I got a surprise seeing how Mama #1 and Munchkin were in the nesting box but it's a good thing I hadn't collected the eggs yet seeing how Munchkin is still little enough to fit in the egg tray, as soon as I opened it to get the eggs Munchkin flew to the floor and started running around clucking then Mama ended up getting out of the nesting box which was good.

They're so much fun when they are little :love

Talk about manual labor!!!!!
I took down all those weeds with a handheld weed whacker. Yup, I still have more to go but they're no match for me and that hand tool. Some of the weeds (burdock and thistle bushes mostly) will put up a fight but I will prevail.

:thumbsup It's a thankless task, but so satisfying when you look at what you've done.

That thing looks deadly! I need one for this backyard. The nettles :th

I don't use it like it's supposed to be used (swung like a golf club), I use it like either a baseball bat or an axe, sometimes even a machete. It is very deadly against thistle bushes and small burdock plants.
