I'm off to home now - can't really decide what to do though. Go outside and continue prepping the barn to put in Fudgie's cattle panel wall, laundry, or clean house. Decisions, decisions.

Well - my night consisted of coming home, eating dinner then heading out to the goat barn for grain time.

I give Fudgie a week, if that.

I took some pictures and now I'm starting our taxes. Usually I'm done by now but a)we can't actually submit them until 2/14 and b) I just got the computer back.

I hate to admit it but I love the snow as well. Now the cows didn't look very happy but everyone else seemed ok.

It is pretty when it's all still white, but right now everything has turned into brown mush and our driveway is taking turns being ice and a mud slide.

I could not relax last night for the life of me. Little g has misplaced his Leapster Explorer (now that's another story), the house is a disaster, I'm waiting on Fudgie, I'm tired of the "SNOVERLOAD" and want to be outside, I have way too much stuff on the plate right now and I just want to hide. But we all have those moments, so I decided to have a cup of "spiced" tea and try to relax. Well - it sort of worked - I relaxed but then couldn't fall asleep because I kept thinking Fudgie was tricking me and actually plotting to kid last night because it was raining/snowing/icing once again. So midnight rolls around and I'm outside checking on them.

Got the "Whatha?......" look from Fudgie. Yeah. :/ On the plus side her ligs are soft - well, from the little grabs I get in between her bolting from me. Where'd my sweet girl go?

Big G gets up around 5a and is usually out the door by 6a - 6:15a and I should be up by then but I AM NOT a morning person. Don't get me wrong - I absolutely love the morning. LOVE IT. Just can't get myself to get up most days. But unfortunately, today was a day where I was forced to. Big G comes back inside after leaving, tells me I have to get dressed and drive his work van while he pushes it with the tractor...he got it stuck while loading a few bales for the cows this morning. He knows by now that his best bet is to talk to me once then not say anything else so he quietly left the house and waited for me on the tractor.

So I hop in the work van and wait for him to put the bucket to the back fender. After about 5 minutes we get it unstuck and he's off. So, instead of heading inside to shower, get little g up and make lunches what do I do...sit inside the goat barn for 15 minutes.

I really, really did not want to come into work today. But I don't think she'll kid today - maybe not even tomorrow, but I hate leaving her when she's a FF.

So, Hen - keep yer cell handy! If it's a decent hour I'll be calling!

OFG - that's Big G trying to plow the drive way. The house you sorta see to the left is his uncle's house. I'm standing in the driveway, our house is behind me and the cow barn that you see in another picture is to my left (you can see the uncle's house in the cow barn picture too). We basically fenced in our property in a U shape so the cows have 2 sides to graze on. In the winter they're on the left side (where you see the poles on the left in that picture) because the cow barn is on that side and in the summer they're allowed to roam the right side (where the poles are in the right of that pic) since it's about a 4-5 acre field, but with no barn.

The pic of the cow and calf walking is a view we get outside our bedroom window....we have a relatively large yard, but kept the cow fence close so we could keep an eye on them. There's a stream that runs through our property so we fenced in the stream on both sides of the U so the cows could have water no matter which side they're on. Got to tell you, not having to water the cows is a huge help. The goats have a portion of the stream fenced in too, but they in now way shape or form are going to walk their princess and prince feet down to the stream so I bring them 5 gal buckets.

ETA - if you want something to perk you up this am, check out Phoenix Rising's cameras again. They've been switching to multiple views and you can see hords of little kids romping around. It's way to cute!

Boy, you have a lot of snow. It does look pretty though. I can understand being sick of it though. We don't have nearly as much and I'm sick of it.
