glenolam's madness - April passed away

:hugs So sorry. It sounds like Carl is going to have a great home, and I don't blame you. Bottle feeding babies is not one of my favorite things to do!

Don't blame you on the boy. I'm no fan of bottle feeding. I actually love milking but don't like bottle feeding. I will be very glad when my bottle feeding is done. Even at 3 times a day, it just takes up too much of my time. There is so much more than just giving the bottle. It is preparing the bottle and then cleaning the bottle afterwards.

I am so sorry. I know how it feels. At least the baby made it. Sometimes there is just nothing you can do.

oh geez...sorry.

but i'm hearing you. the bottle feeding thing is a time drain for sure. i absolutely do not understand why folks do it if they dont have to. glad you found a good place for him.

hang in there baby! and feel free to throw mashed potatoes at any family member who give you any flim flam!
;-)

Dinner went as well as could be expected but I'm glad everyone's gone.

I dropped little Carl off at his new home - try not crying in a huge horse farm where about 10 people, 6 of which are under the age of 10 are there for lessons as you drop off the only thing good that came of this situation! I tell you I had to apologize profusely and just about didn't give him up. They completely understood and said they'd give me a call in about a week to let me know how he's doing.

On Saturday afternoon I traded Nilly, Cara's twin, and some money for the two Saanans who are really very sweet. I told them Nilly had been pawing at the ground and looked to have slight discharge so...Have Fun!

I got a call just as I got home from dropping Carl off today and it was the girl down the road who now owns Nilly. She said Nilly had just delivered a beautiful healthy, but small doe. She said she heard about Cara from a mutual friend and was very sorry so she wanted to call as soon as Nilly was all set to give me the good news. I get to go see them tomorrow, where I'll probably cry again. I said I couldn't beleve she only had 1 and even more the fact that she was small! Nilly was huge in my eyes.

If you go back a couple pages you can see Nilly standing next to Cara.

:hugs

Just saw this and I am sorry for your loss. it may be "just a goat" to some people but for you this was more and that makes it hard all around. :hugs
