Dinner went as well as could be expected but I'm glad everyone's gone.
I dropped little Carl off at his new home - try not crying in a huge horse farm where about 10 people, 6 of which are under the age of 10 are there for lessons as you drop off the only thing good that came of this situation! I tell you I had to apologize profusely and just about didn't give him up. They completely understood and said they'd give me a call in about a week to let me know how he's doing.
On Saturday afternoon I traded Nilly, Cara's twin, and some money for the two Saanans who are really very sweet. I told them Nilly had been pawing at the ground and looked to have slight discharge so...Have Fun!
I got a call just as I got home from dropping Carl off today and it was the girl down the road who now owns Nilly. She said Nilly had just delivered a beautiful healthy, but small doe. She said she heard about Cara from a mutual friend and was very sorry so she wanted to call as soon as Nilly was all set to give me the good news. I get to go see them tomorrow, where I'll probably cry again. I said I couldn't beleve she only had 1 and even more the fact that she was small! Nilly was huge in my eyes.
If you go back a couple pages you can see Nilly standing next to Cara.
