My friend has mostly joint pain issues. If she avoids gluten no problems. When she used to cheat once in a while she'd have pain. I have the acid reflux issues.
They all just left. The stew pot was scraped clean. It was a recipe to serve 6. There were 8 of us so I doubled it. Still nothing left! The roasted pears I served for dessert were the biggest hit. The kitchen is a disaster but we had a great time. I even dragged out DH's baby book and HS yearbook so we had fun looking back at him through the years. I'm exhausted though!

It was a good time! My house isn't too badly trashed this morning. Not great either! We've got the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby at 1:00 and I have to go to church to set up the altar for tomorrow. Somewhere in between all that I have to come up with something edible to bring to the derby. We've got a load of wood being delivered in a few minutes. I just want to sleep!

My you have a busy day!!

Saturdays and Sundays have become our lazy days around here. Just the usual animal chores, the rest of the day to relax.

I wish! I will be cleaning up from the party, stacking wood, making school snacks for next week, grocery shopping, laundry, laundry, laundry, etc. We've been off from school all week so we got a jump on our spring cleaning. That felt good. Now I'm wishing I'd set aside a day this weekend to just have fun. We did that last Tuesday and it seems so far away!!

Quail - I am jealous too!

It seems like Saturday morning is spent doing the things I am too tired to do during the week ... then I go to work at job #2!

Sundays I tend to collapse and stare a lot!

We do try to have some family fun on Saturday but then I usually go into panic mode Sunday after church trying to get everything done for the week. I have got to get more organized!

Don't be jealous! I don't always get to have a lazy Saturday (and turns out this one isn't being as lazy as I would like it to be). We worked our tails off this week with the new animals we added, and well, I've still not caught up on sleep!

Saturdays are work days here, especially in good weather! Most days I'm too tuckered to get motivated when I come home after work on a week day. Right now I'm waiting for the hens to get up out the nest boxes so I can scrub down the whole unit and move it to another wall in the hen house! The boys are enjoying the lull in activity!

Sundays? That's for fellowship, family.......and napping! Serious napping goes on for the whole family. Its almost like a family tradition to come home and snuggle up for a nap. God rested on the seventh day....who am I to challenge that kind of wisdom! ;)
I am even sleepier on Sunday than any other day....maybe its because I know that on Monday I will be hitting the ground running again!

Home from the Derby. DS came in 2nd! Not bad for a Tiger Cub who did most of the work himself! In fact the top four cars were built by the younger boys and I know two of them did a lot of the work with Dad or Mom standing by. The older boys seem a little bored by the whole thing and probably didn't put a whole lot of effort into their cars. It showed. We go to Regionals next month.
The pack leader knew my DH's 50th is Tuesday so she picked up a cake and sang Happy Birthday to him between races. He was so embarassed!! It was fun, but DS is exhausted. He's on the phone with Nana in NY telling her about it and his sentences keep dropping off. He's sleeping over my parents' house tonight because DH's band is playing at a benefit and I really wanted to go. So we'll get him back at church in the morning.
I cleaned out the fridge and started a loaf of bread. I'm hoping to do more baking tomorrow afternoon. Now that I'm getting duck eggs I have lots of plans!!
