Thanks! We are very excited. The new puppy's impending arrival is causing a flurry of decluttering. We're off from school next week and hope to get a lot done. I don't like the work but I love the results of clearing out stuff. We did some major work in November before our tag sale. It's amazing how quickly it accumulates.

Hen I love the "off time" from school.

Right now I am trying to decide on whether or not to do the summer school thing. Extra money ... but man I MISS that off time!

You puppy is adorable, but then ... you KNOW that!

Thanks! I agree and I don't even know which is mine yet. I have pics of his parents too which I'll post sooner or later.
I don't have the opportunity to do summer school as a speech assistant, at least not this year. I love the time off too. My husband teaches but works through the summer on the maintenence crew at the school. The extra money is so helpful. But without the responsibilities of teaching, at least when he comes home he's off duty! We have a lot of fun all together. I try not to overbook my son's activities. He has to do gymnastics to stay on the team and he'll do a week of Cub Scout camp. Other than that I think Puppy Kindergarten will be our only other committment. Gardening and playing will take up the rest of our free time!
We're usually completely broke but exhausted and happy.

Ugh-rain rain go away!! I have plans to get stuff done outside, on the coop especially, but NO!! It's been raining since school let out on Thursday. We're puppy proofing, cleaning and cooking for tomorrow's dinner, so it's not like the time is totally wasted, but I really need some outside time too!

:hugs I can so relate to that - it is dry here this weekend but we still have standing water from that storm that came through a week or 2 ago.

Well, it's been a while!
I'm off to the doctor in a bit. I was cutting long skinny branches out in the yard today and one snapped me in the eye. It's sore and a little blurry now so I called to see if I should come in. Surprise surprise-they want to look at it. Ugh. I've got my son home from school recovering from a stomach ache that bugged him all weekend. I'll have to drag him along because DH went to another school this afternoon to help another teacher with a project. Grrrr. DS is determined he's going fishing with the Cub Scouts tonight. DH promised he'd be back in time to take him because fishing is just NOT my thing. I really need to be doing the paperwork I happen to have home with me. My eye is tearing just sitting here looking at the screen.
All this because I tried to take advantage of some unexpected time at home to get some herbs planted and secured from the chickens!
My appointment is at 5:15 which means I'm sure to have to wait for a while. Ugh. Better safe than sorry I suppose. I have more herbs to plant darn it!
Hope everyone is well. I read from time to time but between spring chores, a busy work schedule and life in general I don't seem to get on here as much as I used to.

Nope, it isn't! I went to the doctor and my cornea is not scratched. It still hurts though. She said there's still a chance an infection could happen, though it's not likely. I just need to "keep and eye on it". <sorry>
