I'm not sure I could wear wet socks.

You know that thing humans do where they get used to a feeling and quit feeling that? Yeh. I don't.

I was very sceptical the first time I did it. Put cold wet socks on my feet is not my idea of fun. But when you put the wool socks over the wet ones and get into bed they don't feel cold and wet for long. I usually fall asleep really fast and hard and when I wake up I'm at least breathing through my nose! This morning I'm minimally better as far as my runny nose but I'm coughing so I hard I'm almost gaggin myself. Hopefully my coworker will take one look at me and send me home.... yeah right.

Thanks, definitely a little better today except for a deep barking cough starting. I ate lunch with the school nurse. She heard me cough and said, "You do realize I've sent 5 kids home already who sound just like you?" The principal was sitting across from me. He said nothing. Too much to do to stay home anyway!
The big news is that Mary is here!!! And she's been clipped!! Funny looking. It's also strange to look at a Black German Angora whose undercoat is actually white! She's very cute and super friendly. Pictures soon. Dinner first. Then off to Cub Scout Pack committee meeting, last one for the year, except for the one that happens at Margueritaville.....
Will do wet socks again tonight. I don't think it shortens the cold any, it just helps with night time congestion so I can sleep.

Hmmm, good question since I also took Nyquil last night.....
I have done it and not taken Nyquil and it did clear my nose while I slept. I've also done it when I've stayed home in bed during the day and not taken anything. I usually don't take decongestants because they make me insane.

SOoooo, did wet socks/no Nyquil last night and had the same results.
Coughed all day. It's getting ugly. The nurse really wanted me to go home.....
Went to the street fest downtown anyway. I'm exhausted but staying up to make GF pizza for DS's last day of school tomorrow. Got the following email from his teacher: "Hi Mrs. B. We're having a pizza party on Friday. I don't have your DS's list of allergies at home. Can he eat pizza?" She's had the kid in class all year and hasn't figured it out yet. She just follows my rule that he eats nothing unless I send it in. oy
2 more days for me. One baseball practice, a baseball game, and a horse show before the last one on Monday. I'm beat.
The new bunny is awesome. Friendly!! I've got pictures. I'll post them. She's goofy looking with her fur clipped. Can't wait to see it grown in.
