It hacks me off when a church starts equating a person's appearance with their soul. BTW we changed both churches AND schools shortly after the "hair incident".

Jesus loves His children, bowl cut or bald.

Added: this is a pic of my D1 when we met Bubblingbrooks the other day ... notice anything? :P

Love it!!
I just had an email from a friend from church. Her DH heard the "conversation" between crazy woman and me. He then got cornered in the kitchen by the same woman who asked him about an event at a historical property where he works part time. The event is not part of his program at all and he didn't have any details for her. She wouldn't accept that and kept badgering him about it until he snapped at her too. So it wasn't just me! I was glad MY DH had stayed home because she probably would have attacked him for changing schools last year. Her kids went to his old school and she was on the BOE. She wasn't happy last year when she found out he'd left. And it was a matter of survival on his part but she wouldn't be able to accept that either I'm sure. She's always been a bit of a sour puss, but I'm now a little worried about her state of mind. I'm glad she's got a caring husband to look out for her!

Yes. The baby is sporting a little mohawk in the back. What a rebel!!!!

DS and I complete with our electric blue toe nails went off to the library this afternoon. He wore Crocs, I wore sandals. There is one librarian there, maybe my age, maybe a few years older. She has very elegant hair cut in a bob, always looks put together. She walked by me and I caught her glancing at my nails. She didn't say anything. We ended up checking out with her and she said, "You know, I really like that color you're wearing on your nails! Nice change from pink or red!" and I really think she meant it! So :tongue again to the lady from church! :gig

She didn't notice them in his Crocs I guess! He will have to take it off before school starts, just in case he ends up barefoot. I don' think his principal, Sister Mark, would approve somehow!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Ended the day on just as nice a note. After grilling some grass fed burgers and making a nice salad from the garden, we sat around a small fire in our fire pit. The dogs hung out with us and the goats were checking things out too. It got chilly enough that we needed long pants and sleeves and SOCKS!
