Those are beautiful! I planted one last winter/fall and I am amazed at how big it is already. It just took off. Can't wait for something edible to come off it!

OMG that is huge. Ours don't even come close.
Free, I'll trade you artichoke seeds for kefir. If you protect them in the winter the way you do roses, they might just produce for you. I had always wanted to try them, when I lived in NY. Or you could plant them in a big planter and move them inside every fall. The leaves die back in the fall.

I am going to have to start fertilizing mine, maybe then they'll gorw bigger. Ours are soo neglected.

:lol: Anything that needs protecting over the winter doesn't make it under my care....I need lower maintenence plants, with all the animals that I have. Thanks for the offer, FD, if you PM me your mailing address I will send you some kefir anyways. I still have to pack up and ship the ones I promised last week, so I can easily do one more on Monday.
