I am curious: Who here doesn't use Wal-mart? Why??

My walmart has hand baskets.
hmm....

I love the big cart, I can fit the kid and stuff I buy
I am about equal distance from 3 Walmarts. No hand baskets at any. They do sell those recycled material totebags- guess that's the angle, lol!

I have one "smaller" one near me and it has baskets....then the new super one built down on 73 has baskets....BUT the super one on the way to my Moms does not. Hmm...LOL

How is a super center different from a regular? They don't call ours super but I suspect they may be.

Sorry, just sounded funny! Your question is as good as mine1

the super have the bigger store in general and they have the food dept.

my "little older than dirt" walmart that is in town is small. It has like 3 small aisles of Greater Value product, and 1 small line of coolers for milk etc.

the Supers have the full grocery store in them.

I love my little walmart still. I am hoping they do not do away with it at all in town. So many work there and need that business....but then again, the parking lot is always full so I can't see them walking away from that store hopefully.

A regular has just clothing or clothing and food. A supercenter has an auto department, vision center, bank, etc.

my small old one has auto dept. also
but no eye care dept.

it has subway...

Yeh, go ahead and have a laugh at me and my important WM question!

I don't shop at Walmart for many of the reasons that have already been stated and one that I don't think has been mentioned: My husband works in the manufacturing industry. He doesn't make anything that WM sells, but I'd like to think that somewhere, someone is making the conscious decision to buy the American Made products that he does manufacture. We try to do the same by not purchasing from Walmart and hopefully we can keep people manufacturing in the US. I often wonder...What will happen when America no longer has a "product" to sell? We are no longer the nation that performs best in academic pursuits. We no longer produce enough food to support American people.

Though I don't shop at Walmart, I also have plenty of access to other stores. If I didn't have those options, then I would probably be another one of the horde going to Wally World!

I thought that some of the comments about the quality of Walmart's produce being better was interesting. In our area, most people find that it is just the opposite, so maybe that is a regional thing.

I think that everyone chooses their own battles to wage...Not shopping at Walmart is important to me. Is it the most important thing in my life? Nope...just a conscious decision that we've made.
