Well HEY THERE BubblingBrooks!
I was going to update this thread this past weekend but just got so busy, I forgot!
As to the opriginal intent of the pleas for help...
Drum roll please...
I am NO LONGER cold all the time!
I want to stop here and thank you all for your time and patience!
I have been moving closer to the better ways to eat outlined here and also have made the following discoveries:
1. I dropped about 8 lbs within the first week, which I expected as that happens almost all the time when you change your diet. After that, it started creeping back up and seems to have leveled off at about a 4 lb drop so far.
2. I am no longer miserably sleepy in the afternoon. I make it through the day full of energy.
3. My mood has been WAY more upbeat lately. Back to my old outgoing, joking self.
4. I almost never have blood pressure spikes any more.
5. My hands don't seem to be as achey in the joints as before.
Now, my DD is coming around too and we have started replacing the household products that have flour, soybean oil, and HFCS with more natural food. (We made our own butter this weekend!)
I do have more questions about some of this stuff though. Should I ask them in this thread to keep it all together or open a different thread for indivual questions? Seems like each forum I visit has their own preferences.
I have also read Eat Fat Lose Fat and Nourishing Traditions as well as done a lot of reading on the Weston A Price site and watched Fathead. (Also spent some time on the 180 site and read 1 of the free eBooks)
I have decided that as of now, I am setting a timeframe of 3 months and will reevaluate myself.
I will definitely post back here as one of my pet peaves is when you find an interesting thread and want to know the outcome of something and the trhread just dies after the OP says they will report back.
Anyway, THANK YOU ALL for the encouragement!
