I watched the documentary "Fat Head" ....

who cares if it is a full moon or not?

I sure don't.

All I can say is it works for me. I'm not trying to push my beliefs onto anyone here. I've tried EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! This works for me.

I enjoyed FATHEAD, however it isnt the reason I came to change my diet. I watched the movie months after I took a very good nutrition class offered by freemotion, read books and spoke to like minded folks.

I was raised by vegetarians, spent most of my 20's as a vegetarian, tried vegan for 3 years, ended up in my 30's with a weight problem that has plagued me for the last 8 years. I did WW and it came back, I ate healthy ALL MY LIFE!! I am active. NOTHING worked long term. This works for me. Nuff said.

come on ladies, we are better than this.

All I am trying to say FC, is that I DO respect your view but you are bringing up a theory that runs contrary to the point of this thread.

So, is this thread just for people in support of the Fathead documentary and its views, or is it a thread to discuss other views also?

I do not believe there is one way to be healthy. As I keep annoyingly repeating, I personally believe in whole food and not cutting out entire groups.

I think what FC may be pointing out is that all questions regarding diet are answered by people advocating a nearly carb-free diet and anything else is shot down.

I'm really happy it works for some people. I have never HAD a weight or any health problems in 35 years, and I have consumed carbs all of them. I think the point is that there is not ONE way to be healthy.

And, if someone is just going to tell me that I'm actually just a time bomb waiting to explode someday, that's a bit disingenuous. I think we can tell how healthy we are by the very things I pointed out earlier in this thread.

So, carb-free people, go for it! That's great! But, it would be nice if other ways of eating were acknowledged and accepted also.

I was already several years in to complete dietary changes before I even heard of Tom Naughton. The implication that this is a sole source, or their is blind following or some kind of worship is insulting and completely inaccurate.

I have listed other sources, but that gets ignored.

Low fat, low calorie, lots of exercise, vegetarianism, etc... all destroyed my health. I got it back AND found the actual science the low fat low calorie recommendations were based on. I studied the studies.

We HAVE been fed a load of bologna.

you're cool in my book! LOL

It's called the mainstream media and you already have pretty much all of it. How much more acknowledged do you need to be?

Remember, I lived the other ways for 43 years.
