They've proven it actually expends more electricity to switch to DST, as so many do get up in the morning and have to turn on their lights to move around in preparation for their day. Here is an article that actually shows the cons to the whole DST malarkey. I want standard time, and leave it be. I think you non-morning folks should have to adjust, I think there's more of us than there are of you

Well- we can take a pole at 2 am.
NO I agree- I always hated switching times. That's why I basically ignore it now.

They have made DST earlier/later for the last few years as a way to conserve energy. I believe that is why it was originally instituted back during WW2.

Either way, the daylight hours will get shorter anyway, no matter what time it might, or might not be.

Now days the only thing the switch accomplishes is either making people feel special, and more (less) tired.

Honestly, I don't care if they stay on DST time or standard. I just want them to stop changing the time twice a year! LOL
