Jason closes his journal... Thanks!! I love you!!

I got so sick of squash I started cheering on the squash bugs. My okra has finally started to wind down. It's been too dry here even for okra. It's a pretty good seller at the market, especially the red kind. Our 200 lbs of potatoes we planted has been dug and sold - we're down to the last 1/2 bushel. Our pole beans are still producing, but the half-runners didn't do well. We've got 2 different bush beans just now starting to produce. Our greens refused to come up until hubby gave in and put soaker hoses on the beds. I'm tired!

Please, somebody send us some rain.

I wish I had something to be tired of.....we didn't get squat from our gardens this year. Not even a cucumber.

I'm getting sick of yellow pear tomatoes! I can only find so many recipes to use them, and they just keep coming. Pretty soon we're going to be reduced to eating bowls of yellow pear tomatoes for dinner.

ZUCCHINI !!!

I made the mistake of letting 3 plants have their way. I tried to keep them picked at smaller size. I'm the only one that eats it at our house. After several meals & freezing I pulled them up. I found several more. Tried to give em to the chickens. They looked at me with that 'you expect me to eat THAT?' and ran the other direction. Then I found a couple of whoppers under the massive leaves...2 the size of baseball bats and 1 the size of a Buick......I'll have plenty of seed if anyone wants some.....and lots of bread & cake to open a small bakery :th

I wish I had the space to grow enough of something to get tired of it. I did put down 70 beans and 63 have sprouted so far. Hopefully I will get tired of them! I can't wait to can 'em!

Hi Popsgumdrop! and welcome to the forum :frow
