Java. the end.

Thanks SD! I felt really comfortable with the orthodontist, she was very good at explaining all the steps it would take to get my son started - palate expanders, top first, then bottom, with braces on the front teeth. then deal with the baby teeth, let the permanent teeth come in and them proceed to the rest of the braces. He has a very narrow face and severe crowding. She said we came in just in time because his palate was just starting to fuse and she could work with it still.
My daughter shouldn't have as many problems, but we will know today.

Sounds perfect! How old is he again?

The orthodontist I worked for used palate expanders with great success. My children needed their lower jaws lengthened, instead. Expanding the palate usually makes for a very attractive result.

He will be 12 at the beginning of June. We are getting the top expander put on him at the end of this month. He wants it done though - becoming more self conscience and some of his friends already have braces. Fun times :P
I had to have a jaw extender thingy. That was kind of painful.

Well, got the chicks moved outside and they are happy. This batch is really loud and they were getting on my nerves. Now I have an empty brooder and I can go get some creepy meaties. Mmmmm, creepy meat

Well you could read the what to do to save money thread and see where Free posted her tip to save money feeding the chickens after goat birth! That cracked me up she posted that there!

I had to have headgear in the 7th grade.....I will never live that down....I was "Darth Vader" for a while. :tongue

That must have been awful Lori! I don't even know if they do headgear anymore.

So...my kids have identical mouths and will get identical treatment. I now have 6 separate orthodontist appointments to take them to in the next month to get started. (that's 3 appointments per kid) It was too difficult to try to schedule them together. Double the fun and nothing SS about it really :P

no, they don't usually use headgear anymore or extract as many teeth.

Retainers still are necessary though.

40 bales of lovely 3rd cutting alfalfa hay delivered and stacked. :celebrate Now if somebody would buy the little milk stealers, I'd be on my way to cutting the cheese :D
