I went ahead and put the 3rd Dominique back in with the rest of the flock. She had made no attempt to gather the eggs in the nest to sit. She was walking around over them. Thank goodness none were broken.
I took those 8 eggs and divided them between the other 2. A couple of hours later, they had gathered them into the nest and are sitting comfortably.
Of course, within 5 minutes the stubborn Dominique was back on her nest in the coop with an Australorpe butting in. She will go back in the brood box tonight with hopes of finally breaking her.
