JUSTUSNAK...Summer coming to an end!?

Dr gave me amoxicilin 10 days worth. My local pharmacy is giving free antibiotics to folks over winter, so it was free.

I hope you don't mind me posting a pic on your journal, if so I can remove it. I just wanted you to see your not alone and we are in this together!! :hugs

Sorry about your poorly chick, can't your DH cull the little guy for you?

Could raise him, do like they do with kobi beef, and sell his meat/whole cleaned carcass for 90.00 or some off the wall price. :) Hey, thats being SS!!!

Ya know MP....if I wasnt so darned tired of seeing this white death...I would say...Pretty pic!! I dont mind you posting a pic.... here is one for ya too...this is just from this morning....IM DONE WITH IT! LOL

Hubby wont off the chick. Heck, he is still learning tobe a "country boy" He wont help process meaties either. I dont mind so much....most of time. BUT, when TSHTF, he WILL learn, really fast! LOL

Snow is a 4-lettered word here, too.

And I'm SICK of the S N O W....

I am almost willing to brave a move to Florida....even if it does put us closer to the inlaws....we could just stay on the opposite side of the state...............

:hide

We were talking Georgia, today...I do have my dad's side of the family there, and my Dad is buried there....and it's just a hop and a skip to my step Mama's in Alabama......

Goergia.....Ahhh, Georgia sunshine....Georgia peaches... Nuff said...I wish I was in Georgia!!!
We have 8 inches of new "stuff" and getting about 1/2 in an hour still! WHAaaaaaaa!!:hit I want SUMMER!!!

DW and I both don't mind the snow for a short time, or in the inches. But come on, were in the feet now and some how I just keep thinking "where is this stuff coming from?" and it just keeps falling like there is no end in sight.

I am also thankful for my wood heat and sure glad now I did split extra wood, in my pic thats what is under the blue tarp. I am able to store 2 cords inside the garage, though only enough room to park my tractor and a narrow walk way to get to the heater. Now I have just 3/4 of a cord left inside and that will last just another week this time of year. I use my boiler as a back-up and heat with wood 24 hours a day when its this cold out.

I can't say I miss GA either or the red dirt down at Ft Benning GA. There is a lot of my sweat in that soil as well as blood and I think some tears. I spent nearly 3 years on/off that base. I also spent 128 days straight in the field when I was in the Army. That reminds me of a old story I will journal!!! Its a gut buster!!!!

Stay warm/healthy. Also I have tried a new tea by Bigelow Tea its called Wild Blueberry with Acia. I drank a whole box over the weekend. I mixed a teaspoon of honey, and it was yummy!! :drool

Ohhhh, that tea sounds yummy!!! I just LOVE tea!!
Im with you on the wood thing. SO glad we split extra. We "should " have plenty to get us completely through. I think thre are 4 ricks....maybe 5 left out there. We started with 15.
I USED to like the snow...so pretty...fresh...clean...and then it came...and came..and came...and its STILL coming!
I took a few more pics while I was out doing chicken chores....this is the view, from my coop, to the barn. I make this walk 2 x's a day. When there is no snow...its not bad..but in almost 2 feet of snow..well, it just plain SUCKS!

This one is from the coop to the house...not too bad...but the snow is so deep...and I can tell ya, IF I fall down...I wont be makeing snow angels with the words I will be saying. Will be more like snow devils!

Brrrr, I am so glad for my woodstove!!

The snow is still coming down here, too.

I keep playing with the chicks, telling myself spring is just around the corner....

I think if we were used to having snow like this every winter, this wouldn't seem like that big of a deal to us.

Have our fifth pot of coffee on....lol

I don't think I have as far as you to walk, just, to the barn and the coops....I'll try to get pics of mine when I go out to do the chores in a minute....

Mine is right outside the back door, here threw my new window in the dining room. Sorry ladies... :hide

Glad I am not addicted/love chickens like you two.. :D :frow I'd be build one back behind the shop!!! Then I would have to hike like yuns do everyday, can't hardly get back there as it is now...

Now if I had room for some piggies..... I'd have two a year and raise them on my own feed.

I forgot to take my camera with me for chores, so I snitched a pic out the back door.

It's roughly 100 ft to the coops, I think...we use 100 ft extension cords from the pole light to the coops...and they are more than long enough.

IF I had it my way, the coops would be much closer to the house, but my husband doesn't think he'd like having coops right out the back door.... :P

Did someone say snow? Boy, I wish I had some snow....... :D

This swing and chairs are now covered and one can barely see them...this pic was taken after the first little snow we had this year....little did I know. I've stopped taking pics now......
