Thanks everyone....but, sigh...today was not warm and fuzzy! LOL
I had a guy delivering my hay today. He told me..." I will be at your barn at 9 am, be there and be ready, I have other things to get done today" OK, so I went out at 08:30, fed the sheep and goats, opened the 2 big doors, and moved the one last bale of hay I had....I was finished by 08:45. 9 am came and went...no hay guy, 9:30, no hay...9:45...no hay...it was 2 degrees out there...and I was just about to walk to the house for coffee...when he FINALLY came...9:55. I was freezing...chilled to the bones!! After getting all the hay stacked, got the doors pulled shut...I came in to get warm, before tackling the chickensI shivered for 2 hours, in front of the blazeing wood stove! Finally got warm enough to go back out there, and do the poultry pens. Everyones waters were frozen. UGH! Another hour in the cold, busting ice! Once I finished, I came in, drank 2 cups of coffee straight down...it was hot, and warmed my insides....some. Finished hubbys dinner, pork chops, stuffing, and candied carrotts. Got him out the door...and started peeling taters...for canning. I had a 50 pound bag that needed canned!! Its 9:45 pm, and I am done...for tonight. I finished 16 pints, and 6 quarts..and still have about 20 pounds to go. I will try to get them done tomorrow....IF we dont lose power in this ice storm they are calling for. I hope everyone in the path of this storm stays safe, and warm.
