Kaycei's Journal - Don't eat dehydrated garlic!

To start with, I'm Dacjohns's oldest daughter. I felt like I was spying on him by reading his journal and thought it would only be fair to sign up and start one myself. And, I'm definitely his daughter. We become more and more alike the older I get. (Although, I will add that I'm not as picky as he is regarding grammar.)
I'm trying to figure out how to be more self sufficient, which is the other reason I decided to sign up here.

Last year I had my first patch of yard, in which I promptly filled with a container garden. I enjoyed gardening so much, I decided to get a real house, instead of a townhouse. Now I have almost an acre, already started my seedlings for this year, and am eager for the snow to melt. My garden will be my first step towards being self sufficient.
