Ok I just back read the post I had on here in Jan. I wished I had a puppy. What was I thinking. I ended up with one in March and life has been a wreck ever since.

Back to the knitting. BBh are you using bulky thread? It and knitting two strands at once are the only way I can't get things made.

the first time I tried with regular 4 ply worsted wool was a disaster.

(I'm going to have to learn the yarn "terms" now.) I got it now. I was using two strands and it is bumpy/worsted yarn. It just was too tight. Now I'm back down to one strand and it is working!! Yea!

I don't think this is going to be a tightly woven hat though.

It still keeps getting tighter and tighter though. At this rate my hat won't be ready until the 4th of July AND I'm going to get carpal tunnel syndrome. :/

Has anyone else run into this problem? I have been keeping the yarn loose in between each peg. Oh well.

Another negative, I think I may need glasses too. :/

I am still at it, I made a few for Christmas gifts.
I am not sure what you are doing, I used 2 strands and also super thick yarn with no issue.

Thank you!

I have about 4-5 inches of "tube" now. I seemed to have figured it out.

Now that I have the hang of it, I will use two strands next hat, or scarf or whatever this turns out as.

It is addictive, that is for sure.
