livin' on the funny farm- SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday the heat index was 92 degrees, right now the temp is 59. WTF ?

We had a big storm come threw last night. The wind was realy blowing! We got over 1 inch of rain in under an hour. Aparently the wind blew the rain hard enuff that it took the paint off the dog house. It was pealing anyway, but the week of rain didn't even do that!

Wow, the rain took the paint off????? WOW. I think we are getting this rain of yours right now too.

WOW! Now I know why that guy was in a hurry to sell those guineas!

Those things can EAT!!!

I have 2 of those small round feeders that you get at the farm stores for chicks. They have gone threw 4 of those already today!
(I filled each of the 2 feeders 2X=4 full feeders)

I forgot to add that I got 2 salmon faverolles chicks, 3 buff brahmas, and 3 blue laced red wyndottes for 1.00 each.

:weee Yeah! You are going to love those Salmon Faverolles. Such beautiful birds!

I have always liked them. But don't want to order birds. I got a few last month, plus a few turkens. But my husbands dog got in the tub and killed them. :he so I made him replace them! And they only had 2 salmon faverolles and no turkens. So I improvised! I have light brahmas so might look neet to have the buff also. Hoping to get more from him next time.

YIPEEEEEEEEEE!!! They took the rain out of the forcast for the next 4 days!!! *Happy dance*

Might get the yard dry enuff to mow, get the wet straw out of the chicken and goat pens and let the ground dry out. And check the horses feet for signs of thrush. (And treat if nessisary)

Only bad thing is highs are in the mid 60's. But I will deal with that.

Sad start to the day! Went out to feed my goats and new sheep, and bob my billy was dead. :'( not sure what happened. He acted kida "off" last night, but figured he was tiered from being a bully to the new hair sheep. Only thing different was that instead of feeding goat feed I am mixing my oun feed because the sheep can't have the copper in the goat feed. Cracked corn, oats, dried mollases. And I put cowboy- the sheep- feed in his oun pan. And bob kept trying to take it. So he might of eatten his feed and cowboys also. His belly was big but that is not real unusual for him as they eat a lot of grass and weeds during the day. (None poisnes to goats I have checked.) Just don't know.

Still have bandit in the house. But he still has the runs. Even after 2 treatments of scowers meds! Someone told me over the weekend to try whole cows milk. Not sure I want to do that but... . He is fine otherwise.

That's a shame. Will you still whether Bandit, or keep him intact?

I guess I will keep him intact. Unless we find another billy.

My friend told me yesterday that I could have the 2 boarXmilk goat nannies she has. She was using a milk goat to cover her boar nannies, and she finaly found a boar billy. But my nannies are both brown and hers are both brown, so I would like any color than brown for a billy. And bandit is black and white. But if I can't get his poop under control... . I'm afrade i may still lose him. I can have my friends billy, but he is the father of both of the 2 nannies, and if they have nanny kids- I would want to keep them. Then he would be dad and grandpa. Not sure I want to go there.
