Beekissed had a great idea. Have a list of titles and rate yourself as to where you think you stand on the SS scale. Start somewhere down around "City Slicker" and work your way up to Daniel Boone or Davey Crockett or something of that nature
I like the idea of rating yourself. I also like Q_A's idea of using Starting Out for the first title.

City Slicker
Hobby Farmer

Keep 'em coming!

I like the city slicker idea too :)
I just noticed yesterday that there is a new member with "city slicker" as their screen name.

No offence City Slicker. :D

How about something like....

City Slicker
Farm in the Suburbs
Hobby Farmer
Farming for a Living
Doing it Old School
Sufficient Life

Not a great list, but it's the best I could do?

City Slicker
Starting Out
Farm in the Suburbs
Hobby Farmer
Farming for a Living
Doing it Old School
Sufficient Life

Good list, I stuck Starting Out in there because I like it.

I like it, too! I wonder if we could stick Country Living in there? You know, because we move to the country before we become Hobby Farmers! LOL

City Slicker
Starting Out
Farm in the Suburbs
Country Living
Hobby Farmer
Farming for a Living
Doing it Old School
Sufficient Life

Hmmm...maybe switch starting out and city slicker? because I know everytime we have someone new move into the area, to themselves they are "starting out" but to us "hobby farmers" they are city slickers :gig

I like this idea, but I have no idea what I would be! How about something like "Land Deficient Country Living" for those of us who fall between the cracks of Farm in the Suburbs (I don't live in the burbs), and Hobby Farmer (not enough land for that). I think there are several of us on here who are trying to make do with our less than 2 acre plots in the country. Or even getting rid of Farm in the Suburbs and replacing it with "Yard Farmer" or "Making Do with an Acre or Two" or something like that?
