Sorry to hear about the horse. :hugs Which one was it?

Life is. The holidays were. And that's all I'm gonna say about that

It was a beautiful day here! On the down side, all the sunshine and thaw 'freed up' all the frozen cow poo. On the up side, I was out there without a coat cleaning up the pen! So cool - January in MI and I was coatless! :woot
Checked the weather and found out it will be in the teens for highs by next week, so I'm glad I got to enjoy it while we had it!

Sorry about your horse. That's what I lost my first horse to. :hugs

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. We lost Nala, our 3 year old. What a tragedy. Vet was sure until the end that she'd make it but all we learned was that the horse had an incredible pain resistance and finally succumbed when her intestine burst inside :hit

I started to look for horses again after her passing and just by accident stumbled over a really neat stud colt from some really nice people that share a lot of our values when it comes to raising horses. So, against my better judgement of never ever buying a young horse again out of fear of losing it before we can ever use it for breeding...I bought him as my Christmas gift. So here is Handsome Ransom. He is in his scruffy winter coat right now but getting prettier every day.

I still need to find me a replacement filly. Looks like my flashy gelding might sell to the mounted patrol on FL which would be awsome! If he goes I can start talking to some breeders again. I doub't I'll ever find a horse again like Nala but I'll keep looking...
