More and more free wood

More and more (and MORE) free wood...
I spent 4 hours today taking nails out of the wood previously used as a stage. The wood was free if I cleaned it up and took it away... Soooo I did! Many beautiful 2x6's, and 3/4" plywood. If the wood was worth $400, that's about $100 per hour for pounding out nails and moving a few boards!
That plywood is over and above what I need to finish the roof on our new coop!

Wow!!! Isn't the good, good Lord blessing you with wood lately, MMD!!!!! THAT'S a great score!!!!

Who gives away that kind of wood????? How rich do you have to be to just give away good wood like that? Doesn't matter....his loss, your gain and what a lovely, lovely gain.

Chicken coop is as good as done now, huh?

Oh, but @baymule, I think I do!! It's bothering me that I can't find enough plywood to finish the roof on our new coop!

We're not done with the coop yet, but this is how the deck wall looks from the free wood we got when we took the fence apart. We'll get a gate done soon, and we're thinking of making a corner table with extra wood.

I had missed these pics....I really LOVE the way that fencing wood looks on this porch and it created just the right coziness for your furniture in order to make interesting conversation nooks.

We are adding a 24'x22' lean to a portable building for a sheep shed. I am OUT of 2x4's We actually had to go to Lowes to BUY BRAND NEW lumber! I needed 10' 2x4's, there was a big bundle over our heads, and a remnant on the rack before us. I told the manager what I needed, then took a second look at the leftover 10 footers. Hmmm... I went and got the manager. I told him there was 4 good ones and 15 not so good ones, make me a deal and I'd take them. So he priced the 15 not so great 2x4's for $1 each. SOLD! Saved us $73!

Lol, bay! I love those bargaining skills!
Today I started making raised garden beds with some of the most recent batch of free wood...

I also got my roses and blackberries and fig tree pruned too, and made a fence for the blackberries, all while training Max all day to "come!"

We've gotten soooooo much free wood! We've been building and building... Once we finish this new coop, rabbit hutches are next.

@Chic Rustler the 2x6's are 9 ' long, and the short ends are 22" long. All the wood was already cut in those lengths except for the 4x4 corner posts. The corner posts were cut in half, so that each end was originally one board from another free batch of wood.
