I've heard some other rumblings on here about our 20 questions we answer when we begin our journals, and how they really don't address what we are interested in about each other.

Can I propose a new 20 questions?

I don't have 20, but I have suggestions.....things like this:

What animals do you have?
How do you heat your home?
What is your self sufficient specialty?
What are you growing?
What is your climate like in your area?
who inspired you to become self sufficient?
In what ways are you self sufficient?
What are you here to learn about?

Anyone else like these? Those of us who already answered the other 20 could always go back and edit these in as well, if we wished. I've suggested 8 questions here, anyone else have imput or interest in this? I don't think there is anything wrong with the original 20, they just don't lead in to good things to say to new people. Like Disney land or Disney World? I doubt many of us give a hoot which amusement park people prefer.

Page 2, post 15 has more finalized list.....[/bn

I made a huge list of questions and made all my friends answer them. Auntie, are they appropriate to toss in for a more interesting list?? :D

I think some were SS, actually.

Good idea SD, I rarely read the list when peeps put them in their journals. Heck I rarely read the journals --not a big fan of all the info that gets lost in there.etc.

How about,

How many people are in your family?
How much land do you have?
If you could live any place you chose, where would it be?

Suggestions from Abi I really liked:

Where do you end up when you sink into yourself, away from the outside world?

What things seem most real to you?

Rishing: bait or explosives? :gig

if you could create a degree and curriculum, what would you major in and what classes would you take?

In which fictional universe would you most like to live?

What would your ideal super hero/villain be?

In what do you trust?

What would you do with your spare time if you had any resources you needed?

With Deb's three questions, we would just need one more.

How would you define self sufficiency?
What skills would you like to learn?
Do you like to garden?
Are your family or friends also interested in self sufficiency?
Can you have legally livestock where you are at? Do you have any? What kinds?
What skills do you have that help you be more self sufficient?
Do you like to cook?
Do you make crafts or useful items? Would you want to teach others how to do these?
Do you forage?
Are you interested in stocking up for future needs?

We don't have to limit it to a certain number of questions. I think it should state on there- they can answer or skip any questions they want to.

You know actually, I changed my mind, these are much better questions to be asking.

I mean, I didn't really care who's been to Disneyland. :p (I have, twice)
