Hello dry-siders! I'm in Klamath County, in the Cascade foothills. We only have 1/2 an acre, but we love it. I've started a garden this year (after a 10 year hiatus) and I am also going to try some cold frames. There is also a heated community greenhouse nearby, so I'm looking to try for some tomatoes and cukes this winter. My husband has finally agreed that we can get some ducks (he didn't want chickens). I'd love some other livestock, but realistically we are too small for that. Yes, we could have goats or pigs, but we would have to buy most of their feed which kinda negates the SS factor I feel. Besides, the husband has raised goats before and knows exactly how much work they are.
