I'm jealous of your tomatoes - mine have all pretty much burned up. Your carrots should do ok under lots of hay. I'm not even thinking of a garden yet.

Score on the hay! That sounds like a lot of hard work, but so wonderful for you guys Horses sound fun, even if they are work and expense, they are so lovely.

FEM, very far north and east yes Just give us a few months to figure out this mad weather we're getting now lol My neighbour said to me now we're going to have a rough winter. I CAN wait.

I totally wish we could make it happen! Lol. It's in the 60's here now. I bet it's much nicer than it is in Texas! Autumn in New England is an amazing thing.

I gave the Guernseys cydectin yesterday, I'll have a fecal run in 10 days. Their eyelids are pretty pale. If cydectin fails then there's really not much left, and I'll have to assume it's an immune system issue or super worms that I don't want here. I mean, cydectin is an all else fails dewormer.... if it fails... That's not good. I might end up with 2 goats this winter after all I am trying to get 2 sheep before winter. I have plenty of hay for them!

We are going to put the 2 female pigs together (and hope they don't fight too badly) and put Stanley by himself until winter. We'll put all 3 together in December for spring piglets. If Charlotte doesn't farrow we will give her another chance. She almost seems like she has seasonal heats. The guy we got them from has been helpful, but all he knows is she had surprise February piglets her first and only farrowing, and had been with Stanley for a while before being bred. So we'll see...

On a better note, Patty has gained all her weight back and is likely bred, the chickens are doing great, and Clifford smells horrific... Lol !

for the Cydectin to do it's job. Glad Patty has bounce back. That's a good sign. Poor GG's... I really hope this works for them. I think they didn't get what they needed from the breeder as far as parasite treatment and they are just overwhelmed. But, if the Cydectin works and you can get their load down they might, hopefully, surprise you!!

Yeah maybe, but I kinda doubt it. I'm gonna get kinders or something next. Hardiness people! Lol I'm feeling miserable over the whole thing. Oh well, at least I didn't get CAE or CL and bring it here!

Then I contacted someone for a price on a ewe he was selling that was sort of an emergency before she has to go to butcher deal. He told me the price, I said I couldn't afford it but thanks. He asked me to give him a number. I told him what I could afford, and he got all huffy and insulted and don't I know how much they're worth... Yeah dude, eat her then. She's only worth what someone will pay and apparently you don't want to save her that badly.

People! Ugh! Lol

Kiko = hardiness, lol! But, my Kinder buck is just about as resistant as Conan is....so I'm heading that route too. Kinder x Kiko = KinKo! Maybe I can start a new "thing."

Yeah I thought about kikos. They're actually easier to find here than kinders. But they're so huge, I probably only need one lol and I don't know much about them as milkers. Um, I'll take a kinKo doe! I think life is telling me to plan a road trip haha
