Well then. Today I've spent the day in bed after almost losing my will to live on a tour boat which was crashing through the heavy seas.

I've now developed a mortal fear of boats, just like my chickens seem to have developed a mortal fear of cardboard boxes.

Have been trying to recycle plastic bottles - did it once a few years ago and received $40 for about three hundred, but the bottles now seem to go into our collection box and vanish.

A lot of things have been vanishing from our garden recently, I blame the local wildlife. (My neighbour's cats included) I live in the suburbs, but the wildlife seem to have no qualms about having an encounter with a car round these parts.

Thanks for the welcomes, all. :frow

I've developed a cold from yesterday's escapades on the boat. I'm still feeling a bit touchy about the embarrassing act of almost emptying my guts among a group of tourists, and have vowed to stay away from such recreational activities for a month at least.

Now, in a month, my birthday is coming up. I'm attempting to think of ways to celebrate this, as it's a pretty important number for me. A couple of days afterwards, I am going with family on a short holiday to Sydney (Australia), one of my favourite places on this earth, and although this was not originally planned as anything to do with my birthday, I have chosen to see it as a nice treat and break from work. :D

The veggies in the garden are growing at mind-blowing proportions, and the pumpkins which were planted a few weeks ago has resulted in a few fruit which are getting pretty large. Success! We've never made pumpkins work before.

Parrots running wild through our fruit trees as usual. A couple almost brained me as I was walking down the driveway this morning.

In the southern hemisphere, a little known corner of Australia to be exact ;) It's usually nice and warm here, despite the fact that we're going into winter now.
The username, I agree, is misleading. That is a story all in itself.
