Sorry about Fred! And your illness.  And I was wondering about your goat, glad to hear she's good.

  You were missed! I'm sorry to hear about Fred - freezing his remains is a great idea, and it's what veterinary facilities do until they can properly dispose of remains according to their clients wishes. I can relate to your love for that rooster - I once had a special guy like that too - he got under a truck which then ran over him and broke his leg where it could not be repaired. We took him to the vet hopeful that something could be done for him. We ended up having him euthanized and then brought him home for burial - they thought we were crazy, I know, but that old bird deserved to be treated with respect, and that's what we did.
