so

its been a hard day in the trenches... lots of activity today and some of it not so good.

i started a thread over on the herds site b/c i was very concerned about one of the mini-pops... she was poorly and seemed to be having trouble breathing.

then we figured out that Little Nibbles wasnt allowing her to nurse!

mercifully Free and ksalvagno talked me off the ledge. after spending the afternoon breathing into a paper bag and doing relaxation meditation....i am NOT posting Nibble's job.

but she does get an F- in mommying.

Debbie, however, gets an A+ and lots of snacks. Debbie heroically allowed the little one to nurse off her and within 20 mins that mini-pop was up and skip poppin' like nobody's business... it was just what the goat doctor ordered. we let the little one take another sip off Debbie later in the afternoon and now she seems right as rain.

after holding a peer review, putting her on a Performance Improvement Plan (a PIP for all you corporate types), signing her up to attend an offsite team builiding workshop, and making her wear a sign that says "this is what losers look like" at the department meeting.... Nibble will not get a pink slip. for now.

but this is going in her permanent file.

for now i'd better go out and get her from the side of the road, sad as she is out there with a "free" sign around her neck.

Poor baby! Glad Debbie delivered first. What a sweet girl.
So she gets a (grain) bonus for taking on added responsibility in a company crisis.
She also gets "Nanny" added to her job title.

yep! i gave her the Directors award ("corn is for closers and mommies"). she also got a polite round of applause at the department meeting.
