I get so tired of my hubby trying to steal my tools....I can never find my dang screwdriver!

DH is always taking my tools! That's why I got a set of tools that are PINK! (he still uses them though ) At least I can locate them easier due to the color.

It took me 9 years of asking, but I finally got a tool box for Christmas last year. Or was it year before? I don't know, but DH still refers to it as HER toolbox

Haven't been on in a little while, sorry to hear about your neighbor's trouble. And you make me glad for my MIL. She may not get me deep down, but she isn't hateful!

Any tips on encouraging my 22 week old hens to lay? This egg recall just chaps my hide since I'm still buying eggs and the farmer's market has been out for the past 3 weeks!!! I threatened them with freezer camp this morning, but I don't think they bought it.

I sometimes dream of moving to Oregon too. I want to live somewhere near the ocean, but far enough away to be outside of the tsunami zone. I dream of having a little cafe where I can serve blueberry pancakes and espresso. Preferably with a view of the ocean (up on a hilltop?). Ahhhhhhhh . . . . But I also want to have a huge garden that I can work on when there is no one there eating pancakes.

OFG, will you come and bake pie for the cafe?

Noobie - Start reading to your hens. I've heard that recipe books work best. Just tell them that " you are going to feed us one way or another."

the day of self indulgent sulking is just about over... a plate of chicken mole enchiladas helped. say.. that might help NCL! just take a frying pan out there and shake it at them and yell "hey you b*tches - eggs! NOW! or its mole for YOU!"

while i was making supper my hubby came in and started joshing around and teasing me, and asked me what was the matter? (but what was i supposed to say? you have the worst mother EVER? for heavens sakes he already knows that). so i thought fast and said the first thing that came to mind:

me: my cheese is bothering me (which was true)

so he pointed to the stove and said: BAD CHEESE!

me: no no... thats the dinner the cheese is over there (*pointing to the counter*)

he (turning and pointing to the counter): BAD CHEESE!

i mean - seriously.. how funny was that?

so we had dinner and my cheese is behaving now.

i feel much better. and apparently i'm going to go and buy all the chocolate so i can corner the market? hum... not a bad strategy...

Remember....story fodder! That is what all of life's stressful experiences and people are to me....story fodder! Like you, I loves me a good tale that can be told and re-told and makes people laugh and gasp and lean in to hear more.....

Not so much fun when it is happening, but try to look to the future and the stories you will tell!

We enjoy them, anyways....
