Abs - i'm always doing this!
SD - on your hand!?!? wow... i just hate that there is never anyone around to help you. ever. and the lighting in the store sends me into fits. at our local store the person who checks your purchases on the way out is a one eye'd 97 year old woman who looks like Yoda. we love her but....come on... thats not security!
lori - i think the flippable finger is a standard option

the best part was that after we (angrily) drove away... we realized we had to stop somewhere ELSE and get cat food lest there be a mutiny at home! so we laughed at ourselves.
today is ripping down one of the other neighbors chain link fence. i'm so excited to get something useful for FREE!
but first i gotta go milk all these goats. its gonna be gallons and gallons today! whoooot!
ps dont forget its the Farm Friends Friday blog hop going on... here is some more yucks for you... i think this was in my journal a while ago but i've cleaned it up for prime time. its called "How to become famous in a small town. Part two.

Really the only thing I buy is well priced Ammo.
And a few pantry items.
Last time I was there BBQ was on sale, the GF kind my dd likes. I bought 10.
Hey it means I don't have to go back again for a while. A youngish 30 something with a 4 yo still in her pajamas walked by. (I can say that now cause I'm 40) he had the nerve to say something about my BBQ. Kinda mumbled and glared as he went by.
It took all the strength in my being not to chase him down and show him the ammo I had in my basket. I think a 22 would have fit nicely up his nose.
I so wanted to tell him not to worry about what I was buying and go put some clothes on his kid. And maybe brush her hair.

Actually it was worse, I had called first and made sure they had the prescriptions and would be open, too. So they KNEW someone was rushing to get there in time who was very ill!
We left the store telling everyone we saw, "don't use the pharmacy here!" "These people are rude!" and my friend actually said some worse things. It was her "getaway" car so she was more willing to scream things I should not repeat and I was....sick.
I love that gal, she would love this forum, too, but she doesn't "do" internet.

Hey OFG, nope, no journal YET. I've got my thinkin' cap on and trying to figure out which way I wanna go, and how much I wanna put out there, b/c I too have soooooo many just plain weird things happen in my life. Not only weird, but wonderful too, so you know what they say about the internet, once it's out there, it's out there forever.
But,,,we have a good first hatch going on!!! Put 21 egg in the bator, tossed 2 after candling, and out of the 19 in lockdown 15 have hactched since I left home this morning.
And not to bring up anything to make you bitter, I LOVE your MIL stories!!! I have the same feeling about my MIL, (read bitter divorve w/ FIL, and can't keep her noise in her business) She can be such (how shall I say it) a B%@#h, but dangnabbit, she keeps on doing right by my kids, and they love her, AND she's the one that will come out to our house (w/ her little ankle bitter "Buffy") and stay and take care of the farm when we go away, like this week-end when we take everyone on a trip to Greatwolf Lodge in Sandusky. But it usually comes w/ a dose of how we should do things , and the "When I did this, I did it this way" but I digress.
If you start a "Pi$$ on Sam's club list" I'm IN!!!

Popcorn chicken, you don't need to put your life history in your journal, just give us your SS plans and goals and why you have them. Some folks on here are real private about their life and we still got to know them. We don't ask for name, age or even your town if you don't want to share that. But it is nice to know your climate, so what continent you are on will help.

I won't shop at Walmart or Sam's club. They destroy everything around them. No small business is left standing. America needs its small business owner. Not to mention how they started selling material at Walmart to close down the two little shops in our town that had amazing family atmosphere. Only to wait til they were gone to stop selling material. So now I have to drive 45 mins away to get any kind of material. I hate walmart.
At our local one, a kid grabbed a gun from off a counter where they sell the guns in our walmart, he then began shooting out the tv's on the wall. Ended up breaking a 85 year old mans hip when he pushed him down and terrorizing everyone.
And dont get me started on the violence and gang bangers. I was attacked by a group in front of my children, for asking a boy to pull his pants up in front of my kids. He was showing butt crack. The whole gang started screaming at me. Employees did nothing.I called the cops, reported to management and was told that they must not of seen it. It was on camera and they were screaming, employees were stopping to watch. I could of been killed. Wally hell would of let me die.
