Don't cut off too much....cause when goat hooves bleed, holy cow do they bleed. You need blood stop powder on hand!

Buy the trimmers designed for this job also. Reasonable cost and need to be super sharp. They fit the hand and make the job easier big time....worth the price.

Pile up the clippings and give to the dogs, like rawhide for them.

I trim my horses hoofs and give all my shots. I call a farrier when i need shoes though. Which is usualy in the spring and through the summer. I have done it, but Ill just let them do it.
