Nah, but if that was the best I could do, I would be upset if my guests talked about me like that. I would hope people would come to my home to see me, not to eat pie.

apparently some of the Giant Eagle and Krogers in columbus ran out of canned pumpkin!!!! they made a big deal about it on the news. i figure next year i'm goin hog wild with the pumpkin plantin' next year.

i'll just sit back and let the big money roll right in when i grow 'em, can 'em, and market them as Ohiofarmgirl's Down Homey Old Timey Pumpkin Mash.

Nope, the first I heard of it was here. I scanned my local news and they said Ohio had a bumper crop.

I live near a pumpkin farm. They grow like mad in our area. Funny thing is most people don't seem to realize you don't HAVE to use pumpkin from a can and you can actually bake one.

I made my low carb pumpkin cheese cake this year with some sweet potatoes. Now I can still put my last can of pumpkin up on ebay! LOLOL

ohiohfarmgirl, is your MIL the type that would hound you if you politely declined the pie? "Are you sure you don't want pie? It is really good pie. You have to have some of this pie! Just get a small slice of pie. It isn't REALLY thanksgiving without dessert! Why don't you want some of the pie? (to those standing around) Can you believe she isn't having pie?"
