My husband and I saw a good deal on an 8x10 dog kennel which would be perfect for raising a few meat birds. The deal also comes with a rabbit hutch which I do want AND two spayed/nuetered pet rabbits, which I don't want. My plan is to kill and eat the rabbits, they are one and two years old. My friends think this is brutal, do you? I don't know why I would keep feeding them when I could get some for breeding and meat and make use of the hutch.

I wouldn't keep them, I would try to sell them or eat them too. I see no benefit to keeping them.

Why did you tell your friends? Just do it.

I'd do it. They are yours. I'm trading a few out due to bad breeding problems, I don't care what they do with them.

I'd slaughter them, make soup stock out of them and eat merrily for months. But this is me.

I'd kill them and invite your friend over for "chicken" soup or casserole and then tell them it's rabbit about mid meal. But then, that's me.... :D

Brutal? What do they think rabbits are for exactly? I wouldn't waste that good meat on the dogs, should be really good eatin'.
